The Dueling Circle first emerges in Golden Son as a clandestine arena where the Golds settle disputes through ritualized combat, serving as both a proving ground and a political theater. Over the course of the series, it evolves from a strictly hierarchical, honor-bound venue into a contested space where lower Colors and rebels challenge the established order, ultimately becoming a symbol of resistance and the shifting balance of power.
