Hand of Death

Hand of Death appears in Red Rising.

The Hand of Death first emerges in Golden Son as a shadowy, elite strike force under the direct command of the Sovereign, tasked with executing high-value targets and maintaining the Society's iron grip. Across the series, it evolves from a faceless instrument of terror into a symbol of the regime's desperation, its operatives increasingly deployed against rising rebel forces and ultimately becoming a hunted remnant as the Republic gains ground. By later books, the Hand's once-unquestioned authority fractures, with individual members defecting or being eliminated, reflecting the broader collapse of the old order.
