Wolf and Blade Banners

The Wolf and Blade Banners first appear in Golden Son as personal allegiance markers for Darrow’s growing rebel coalition, their wolf-and-whip-blade sigil serving as a covert rallying cry among sympathetic Golds and rising Obsidians. Over subsequent volumes the banners evolve from clandestine tokens into open standards of war, flying above conquered strongholds and legitimizing Darrow’s claim to lead a multi-Color revolution. By the later books they have become both a psychological weapon—terrifying foes who recognize the sigil—and a unifying emblem that binds disparate factions under one revolutionary identity.
