Éomer

Éomer

Major

A very tall man taller than all those around him with a long-limbed powerful build and flaxen-pale hair that flows from under his light helm in long braids streaming behind. His face is stern and keen with clear bright eyes that blaze with anger or flash with pride and awe. A white horsetail crest flows from his helm and he wears a burnished shirt of mail hanging down to his knees with a tall ash spear in hand, painted shield slung across his back, and a long sword at his belt, appearing as a proud and commanding leader of the Riders of Rohan.

Éomer emerges in The Two Towers as the fierce Third Marshal of the Mark, a towering Rohirrim leader with flaxen braids and a commanding presence, defying orders to aid Aragorn against orcs amid Rohan's internal strife. By The Return of the King, he ascends to King of Rohan following Théoden's death, his wrathful battle aspect and emotional depth shining as he leads the Rohirrim charge at the Pelennor Fields, fights alongside Aragorn, and reunites with his sister Éowyn after her heroic stand. This evolution marks his transformation from loyal nephew and marshal to a sovereign ruler forged in the fires of war and loss.
