Keys of Orthanc

item

Two great black keys of intricate shape joined by a steel ring. Symbols of control over the tower of Orthanc. Given into the keeping of Treebeard by Aragorn after the war.

The Keys of Orthanc, a pair of intricately shaped black keys joined by a steel ring, emerge in the series as profound symbols of authority over the foreboding tower of Orthanc, once held by the fallen wizard Saruman. Following the War of the Ring, Aragorn formally relinquishes these keys, entrusting them to the wise Ent Treebeard, signifying the restoration of order and the ent's guardianship over Isengard. Though their role is brief, the keys encapsulate the transition from tyranny to stewardship in Middle-earth's post-war healing.
