Ascomanni Obsidians

creature

Feral Obsidian raiders escaped Society culling, pale scarred skin, long dirty white braids, scrap armor with animal pelts, axes hammers, eat human flesh, chant khoomei to Hel

The Ascomanni Obsidians emerge in the Red Rising Saga as the savage, untamed descendants of Obsidians who evaded the Society's brutal cullings, haunting the deep void like mythical wolves of space. In Iron Gold, these feral raiders with pale, scarred skin, long dirty white braids, and patchwork armor of scrap and pelts burst onto the scene as relentless cannibals wielding axes and hammers, their guttural khoomei chants echoing to the god Hel as they devour their human prey. Though their role is nascent in book four, they represent a primal force unbound by the Solar Republic's fragile order, foreshadowing greater chaos from the outer rim.
