His physical menace is vividly detailed in The Return of the King, portraying him as a crouching beast with long arms dragging the ground and a snarling, fang-protruding face. Physical Description
Shagrat cuts a black squat figure, broad and powerfully built with coarse dark skin stretched over bulging muscles.
