Feyre's Cell begins as a literal dungeon beneath the Spring Court manor, where Feyre is imprisoned after killing a faerie wolf. Over the course of the series, the space transforms from a site of captivity into a symbol of her growing agency: she is later confined there by Tamlin for her own “protection,” then voluntarily returns to the cell to orchestrate her escape and the downfall of the Spring Court. By the later books, the cell exists only in memory—an emblem of how far Feyre has come from prisoner to High Lady.
