Kovalyov appeared throughout as a pale student whose role as group leader made him both visible and vulnerable. His confusion at receiving summons and the epigram written about him marked him as someone caught between competing forces.
Description
His pale complexion gives him an almost ghostly appearance against the winter clothing he wears. There's nothing distinctive about his features beyond the confusion that often marks his expression, the sadness that seems to follow him through his appearances.
