A creature from the oldest, most frightening kind of tale: vast enough to threaten castles, with fire in its breath and the stink of sulfur in its wake. Its very name seems to bring smoke and ancient terror into the air.

The dragon is invoked as the legendary terror of folk stories: a flying, fire-breathing monster that lays waste to castles and devours people. It has no personal journey or relationships in the account; it stands as a concentrated image of monstrous, old-world danger.
Description
A gigantic legendary beast, the dragon is described through its fearsome scale and elemental menace rather than precise anatomy or coloration. Its immense flying form is associated with the destruction of castles, while flame and sulfurous fumes issue from it. No specific color, scale pattern, or other fine physical detail is established.
