Kamnoedov’s name brings the chill of a clipboard, a rules-bound corridor, and someone arriving to inspect what everyone else hoped would go unnoticed. His exact appearance remains a blank, but his reputation suggests a man who trusts order more than ease.

Modest Matveevich Kamnoedov is the deputy director responsible for administrative and хозяйственные matters, a Soviet bureaucrat whose authority is expressed through strict discipline. The domovoy Gena recalls his inspection of a post displaying a pennant, accompanied by ifrits. Though he is mentioned rather than directly portrayed, the constant pressure of his checks makes him a force of order in the background.
Description
The text gives no concrete physical description of Kamnoedov: his age, build, height, skin tone, hair, eyes, face, and clothing are all unspecified. He is characterized visually only through the impression of bureaucratic strictness, suggesting a formal, controlled bearing rather than any particular body type or costume. A faithful portrait should keep his physical traits neutral and let disciplined posture carry the impression of authority.
