She has the tentative poise of someone standing between schooldays and whatever comes next, yet there is a weight in her quietness that does not belong to youth. Even in a school-play costume, she seems to be listening for something beyond the stage.

Хмель is introduced as a young school graduate playing a violet seller in the school production «ВЫХОД». The description gives only a glimpse of her, but her role is shadowed by the painful memory of her dead brother. That grief lends her brief appearance a subdued, searching quality, as if the performance touches something more personal than make-believe.
Description
Хмель is a young woman of European appearance, still carrying the freshness of a school graduate. Her hair, eyes, height, and build are not specified, so her features remain open rather than fixed. In the school production she wears the simple costume of a seller of violets. Her presence is youthful but inward-looking, with a seriousness that seems to quiet the space around her.
