The little lyalyapta is immediately fascinating: an unfamiliar, delicate-bodied being whose six-fingered hands and webbed feet seem made for a different world. There is a carefulness about this young taxidermist that makes its strange shape feel quietly endearing rather than alienating.

The sole lyalyapta is a small extraterrestrial being and a young taxidermist, set apart by its six-fingered hands and webbed feet. Its intricate hands—each with two opposable digits and four joints per finger—make even its gestures seem unlike a human’s. In a moment of ingenuity and care, it preserves its companions’ heads in vessels of liquid helium, revealing a resourceful mind beneath its unusual appearance.
Description
The lyalyapta is a small humanoid creature with a compact, distinctly nonhuman silhouette. Each hand has six fingers, including two opposable digits, and every finger has four joints; its feet are webbed. It is identified as a young taxidermist, though no skin tone, hair, eye color, facial structure, or clothing is specified. Its most striking visual impression comes from the intricate hands and webbed lower limbs.
