Mebius has the pale, peculiar presence of someone more at ease among systems than among people: skinny, gray-skinned, and crowned with wisps of white hair. The sockets in his body and the glow of virtual screens make him feel almost half absorbed by the network he tends.

Mebius is introduced as a gawky young orbital systems administrator, a citizen computer specialist whose body is fitted with data sockets. When he connects to the network through cables plugged into those sockets, glowing virtual screens surround him, making his work seem like an extension of his own nervous, unusual frame. The text gives him no broader arc beyond this striking glimpse.
Description
Mebius is young and skinny, with a gawky, awkward build and grayish skin. Thin, sparse whitish hair lies over his head; his eye color and precise facial features are not specified. Implanted data sockets mark his body, and cables can be plugged into them as he works amid glowing virtual screens. His presence is frail and conspicuously shaped by his connection to technology.
