Монов

General Monov has the hard, weathered presence of a man who has spent too long among danger to be impressed by it. His limp and the unusual keepsakes he carries lend him a stubborn, quietly personal edge beneath the severity of his rank.

Monov is an aging combat pilot and general who walks with a limp from his injuries. After two years making his way by hitchhiking out of captivity, he arrives carrying a named parachute and the “Key-to-Start,” a talisman from his days at the cosmonaut school. The objects make him feel at once military and unexpectedly sentimental: a stern survivor still holding on to a small emblem of an earlier dream.
Description
Monov is an older, stern military man, a combat pilot whose injuries have left him limping. The text gives no specific height, build, skin tone, hair, eyes, or facial details, and does not describe his uniform or other clothing. His most distinctive visual markers are the named parachute he carries and the “Key-to-Start” talisman kept in his pocket. His bearing is that of a seasoned general, restrained and battle-worn.
