Beautiful Far Away · Character
старый герцог
- Minor
- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 55
At first glance he is only a frail relic of another age, all faded cloth and brittle stillness. Look longer, and the hollows of his face seem less like weakness than a darkness waiting behind the skin.

The old duke first appears as a shriveled, ancient man in worn clothing, a figure seemingly diminished by time. Beneath that frailty lies a predatory vampire, revealed in the night with a fearsome snarl. His brief arc ends when he is struck from behind by daggers, but his decayed, dangerous presence lingers in the memory.
Description
The old duke is an ancient, withered man with a gaunt body and deeply hollowed features. His face bears the brittle, drained look of extreme age, but its lines carry a distinctly vampiric menace. He wears shabby, worn clothing that hangs loosely on his shrunken frame. In his most threatening aspect, his mouth opens in a sharp-toothed snarl, turning frailty into something predatory.
