He belongs to the sort of road where songs travel farther than their singers, a wandering storyteller whose presence is known through music and memory. There is an intriguing lightness to him, as if he might pass through your life in a verse and leave its tune behind.

Volodya is a musician and storyteller whose path crosses the narrator’s twice. He is credited with composing “I Am the Master of Roads,” a song that gives his brief mention a lasting echo. Beyond his craft and wandering connection to the Roads, the text offers little about his life.
Description
The book identifies Volodya as a musician and wandering storyteller but gives no concrete physical description. His build, coloring, face, hair, eyes, clothing, and instrument are unspecified. His visual profile should therefore remain open, with only the impression of an itinerant performer attached to him.
