Wise makes his living as a photographer and becomes entangled in Harry’s inquiry through his connection to Linda Randall. When Harry confronts him, Wise flees rather than face the questions, leaving behind the impression of a man whose instinct is always self-preservation. His brief appearance is defined by wary calculation and a quick retreat from danger.
Description
Wise is short and slim, with listless brown hair drawn into a ponytail and a harried face marked by strong jaw and cheekbone lines. His small, close-set eyes and pinched mouth lend him a sharp, ferret-like expression. He dresses in dark cotton pants and a dark jacket, carrying a pouch on a strap at his side and a camera; his overall presence is furtive and tightly wound.
