Jenny Sells is first presented as a gawky preadolescent, her hair matching her mother's and her eyes seeming far too old and knowing for her age. When Harry encounters her as a silent, barefoot figure, she bears an uncanny grace and dignity, with luminous green eyes, a sweet expression, and a sad-looking face. She remains a poignant presence in the book's final moments, an image that lingers beyond her brief appearances.
