Mongo begins as an aggressive level-1 velociraptor chick that must be tamed before bonding with the party, then rapidly matures into a formidable, feathered combat mount whose size and abilities scale with each floor. Across the series his plumage shifts from pink-hued red to vibrant multicolored displays, his body grows from chick to pony-sized dinosaur with truck-bed-length tail, and his arsenal expands from simple bites to electrically-charged fang caps and devastating aerial pounces. Despite these upgrades he remains an exuberant, loyal companion whose playful antics—rolling over for belly rubs or flapping in tight corridors—provide levity amid the dungeon’s escalating dangers.

Description

Mongo is a 7-inch tall juvenile velociraptor-like dinosaur with soft pink downy feathers covering his small, agile frame. He has two tiny forearms, a long serpentine tail, and a beaked mouth lined with sharp tiny teeth. His beady reptilian eyes dart alertly, occasionally sporting a small bow tie, exuding playful ferocity in every perch and pounce. A tiny baby velociraptor with a small head and a rough, partly feathered back. His early coloring and precise facial features are not specified. A feathered, beaked raptor-like dinosaur with clawed feet and a long tail. He is agile and energetic, often bouncing, leaping, or darting about. In some scenes he wears a small saddle; no other clothing is described.
