Zhang first appears as a desperate, low-level crawler in Book 1, a bewildered Asian man whose brief alliance with Carl and Donut illustrates the frantic, short-lived partnerships that form in the early dungeon. By Book 3 he has transformed into a formidable level-28 Earth Mover mage-tank, bald and armored in black and gold, piloting the portal cart through the trainyard and casting Dirt Clod spells to cover Carl and Donut’s escape from Grull. Across the two books he evolves from a frightened survivor into a reliable, high-level ally whose combat support proves decisive, yet he remains a transient figure who vanishes once his role is fulfilled.
Description
An Asian male in his 20s-30s with an average build, his most striking feature a completely bald head that shines under dungeon lights. His face is weathered and stubbled, dark eyes wide with bewilderment, framed by a ragged expression of exhaustion. He dresses in torn crawler attire—a patched jacket, frayed pants, and sturdy boots—often seen in motion, clutching a small companion. His presence conveys gritty resilience, every step echoing the disoriented hustle of the crawl. In his 30s, this athletic bald Chinese man boasts a muscular build honed for battle, his smooth scalp shining atop a sharp angular face with high cheekbones and piercing dark eyes. He dons segmented armor in glowing black and gold, each plate etched with arcane runes that pulse faintly with earth magic. A slender magic shrinking wand rests in his grip, complementing his poised, commanding presence. His skin carries a warm olive tone, every stance exuding the unshakeable resolve of a mage-tank.
