Akula
The Akula is an enormous metallic submarine the size of a small carrier, embedded nose-first into an underwater necropolis and functioning as a massive pump sucking in ocean water through its torpedo tubes. Its sail has been violently torn away. The flooded interior features tight warm corridors leading to a once-opulent bridge blending sci-fi command center with decaying Victorian luxury, now ruined by mold, rust, and flooding, with a huge porthole overlooking the deep sea.
The Akula emerges in Dungeon Crawler Carl Book 4 as a colossal, derelict metallic submarine, akin to a small aircraft carrier in scale, dramatically embedded nose-first into an underwater necropolis on the fourth floor. Once a pinnacle of engineering boasting opulent Victorian luxury fused with sci-fi sophistication, it now serves as a gargantuan pump devouring ocean water through its torpedo tubes, its sail savagely ripped away and interiors ravaged by relentless flooding, mold, and rust. Crawlers navigate its claustrophobic, warm corridors to reach the decaying bridge, where a massive porthole frames the abyssal depths, turning this sunken behemoth into a haunting set piece of exploration and peril.
