Bramble Field first appears in Book 5 as a sprawling, thorn-choked arena within the Over City, transformed from a once-idyllic meadow into a deadly maze of razor-sharp brambles and hidden traps. Throughout the book, the field evolves from a passive hazard into an active battleground, its flora animated by the dungeon’s AI to ensnare crawlers and spectators alike. By the climax of The Butcher’s Masquerade, the field’s terrain is weaponized in the final showdown, forcing Carl and Princess Donut to adapt their tactics to its ever-shifting, blood-soaked corridors.
