The Interdiction Repair Yard first appears in Book 3 as a hidden, derelict spacecraft maintenance facility orbiting the dungeon’s artificial planet. Over the course of the series it evolves from a silent graveyard of broken ships into a strategic staging ground for Carl’s growing insurgency, providing repair bays, salvaged armaments, and a clandestine meeting place for rebel crawlers. By later books the Yard is retrofitted with jury-rigged shields and teleport beacons, transforming it into a mobile forward base that can reposition itself between dungeon levels.
