The Belly-Rubbed Pug first appears in Book 2 as an unassuming tavern tucked inside the dungeon’s third floor, but it quickly becomes the unofficial headquarters for Carl and Princess Donut’s growing coalition. Over subsequent books the bar evolves from a simple safe-zone watering hole into a fortified political hub where treaties are signed, intelligence is traded, and the seeds of rebellion are planted. By the later volumes its scarred wooden booths have hosted everything from desperate last stands to clandestine meetings with gods, cementing its reputation as the one place in the dungeon where even the AI’s eye occasionally looks the other way.
