The Troglodyte Neighborhood begins as a dimly-lit, subterranean residential zone in the Iron Tangle, populated by reclusive, scaly humanoids who initially view crawlers as threats. Over subsequent floors it transforms from a hostile ghetto into a reluctant trading hub, and finally into a politically significant enclave whose residents broker alliances with surface-dwelling crawlers. Its evolution mirrors the crawlers’ growing influence: once avoided or raided, the neighborhood becomes a sanctuary and staging ground for cross-species cooperation.
