In the brutal confines of the dungeon in 'Dungeon Crawler Carl,' Scatterers emerge in Book 1 as grotesque, hissing giant cockroaches ranging from bread-loaf to cat-sized horrors, skittering through the early floors with barbed legs and detachable body parts that explode into white goo or coconut pudding upon death. These chittering pack hunters and rage-fueled brood guardians, vomited forth from boss mouths, test crawlers' mettle with their thrashing mandibles and level 2-4 ferocity, crunching underfoot as harbingers of the dungeon's escalating insectoid nightmares.
