Target cape

The Target cape first appears in Book 8 as a hard-won trophy awarded to Dungeon Crawler Carl for surviving a brutal, multi-faction battle. Far more than a simple cloak, the garment carries narrative weight: its fabric is said to be stitched from the banners of fallen crawlers, and wearing it publicly marks Carl as both survivor and symbol. Across the series the cape evolves from a functional reward into a political statement—its presence on Carl’s shoulders becomes shorthand for defiance against the Dungeon’s corporate overlords and a rallying point for crawler solidarity.
