Duke Ram of Tilth
Also known as Duke Ram
- Minor
- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 45
Duke Ram carries the quiet arrogance of old nobility, his presence filling a room like fertile soil after rain—heavy with expectation and unyielding tradition. His words are measured, laced with the subtle authority of one who believes his bloodline entitles him to command. There's a solidity to him that promises reliability, yet hints at unmovable convictions.

Duke Ram of Tilth emerges as a minor noble in council scenes, representing Tilth's agricultural heartland with steadfast conservatism during the Red-Ship Wars. He clashes with more progressive voices like Brawndy of Bearns over resource allocation, embodying the inland duchies' reluctance to fully commit to Buckkeep's defense. Though his role fades, his background presence highlights the fractured unity among the Six Duchies, a noble whose traditions both bolster and hinder the realm.
