Kettle's claw-like hands grip her stick like roots clutching earth, her scowl a storm cloud over ancient eyes that miss nothing. She smells of road dust and unyielding will, drawing you into her orbit with grumpy magnetism.

Kettle begins as a cantankerous old pilgrim on the quest road, her withered body hiding 223 years of blocked Skill and White Prophet destiny. Journeying with Fitz, she unblocks her immense power, her fingers straightening as her form slightly rejuvenates, emanating raw Skill before flowing as turquoise and silver into the dragon's awakening. Her transformation from frail wanderer to cosmic catalyst redefines the trilogy's mythic close.

Description

An elderly human woman with glistening black hair streaked with white, usually peeking from beneath a hood. She has sharp, crow-like eyes, a deeply lined face, and soft flesh over swollen, bony fingers that are twisted and claw-like from rheumatism. She moves stiffly and often leans on a walking staff. Her usual travel clothing is black: cloak, hood, shawl, and headscarf, with blankets for warmth. During the later journey, her hands and arms become silver to the elbows, and rock dust coats her face and eyelashes; after intense Skill-work she appears extraordinarily aged, with her face hanging from the bones of her skull.
