Lacey serves as Lady Patience's loyal handmaid, her round face and benign demeanor a constant in Buckkeep's upper chambers as she creates intricate tatting lace. Devoted to her often distracted mistress, she aids in Patience's quirky household while subtly interacting with Fitz during his time there. Remaining a background pillar of quiet support through the novel's intrigues, her steady presence offers rare moments of normalcy amid the Farseer court's brewing storms.
