Red-beard emerges as a brutish Forged mercenary during the early Red-Ship raids, his humanity stripped away leaving only savage antagonism toward Fitz and the Buckkeep defenders. In a tense confrontation, he wields his long sword with feral strength, embodying the horrors of the Forged plague. Slain in combat, he fades as one of many soulless foes, a grim footnote in the escalating coastal wars.
