Amos begins as a lively, proud father, eager to talk about his son Cedric and the wizarding world around him. When Cedric is killed, Amos’s bustling confidence gives way to raw grief, and he struggles through tears as he speaks about his son. His anguish makes him one of the story’s most human and painful figures.
Description
Amos is a broad-shouldered-looking man with a ruddy face and a scrubby brown beard; the book also notes his squared shoulders. His quick, expressive manner gives him a restless, animated presence, and he wears ordinary Muggle clothes rather than wizarding robes. His beard and flushed coloring are his clearest visual signatures.
