Avery is one of the former Slytherins identified as a Death Eater, and after escaping consequences by claiming he acted under the Imperius Curse, he remains at large. When Voldemort returns, Avery flings himself forward in trembling submission, only to be struck down by the Cruciatus Curse at his master's feet. His name also surfaces in Harry’s recollection of old trial reports, linking the masked follower to the Ministry’s earlier reckoning with Voldemort’s supporters.
Description
Avery’s face is hidden beneath a hood and mask, leaving no reliable view of his coloring, hair, or features. He wears the concealed, dark garb of a Death Eater, its hooded outline making him anonymous in a crowd. His posture is notably tense and trembling, a furtive presence rather than an imposing one.
