Griphook

Minor

His clever eyes glint with secrets in the shadowy depths of the bank, long fingers twitching like they itch to grasp hidden treasures. There's a sharpness to his grin that promises both service and sly calculation. You feel measured, weighed, in his unblinking gaze.

Griphook first appears as a minor Gringotts goblin in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, escorting Harry Potter on a thrilling cart ride to the depths of the bank to access the Potter vault, flashing a nasty grin that hints at goblin temperament. His role expands dramatically in later books, fueled by deep-seated resentment toward wizards, leading him to ally with Harry, Ron, and Hermione in Deathly Hallows by helping them break into Gringotts using the stolen Sword of Gryffindor. However, driven by a desperate bid for goblin rights and the sword's perceived ownership, Griphook betrays the trio during the heist, fleeing with the treasure only to meet a grim end at the hands of Voldemort's forces in the Battle of Hogwarts.

Physical Description

Swarthy-skinned goblin with a wiry, short build, standing about a head shorter than a young boy, his clever face features sharp angles and a pointed beard. His very long fingers and feet give him an elongated, spider-like grace. Dressed initially in a scarlet and gold uniform, he moves with sly precision, his nasty grin revealing pointed teeth.
