Justin Finch-Fletchley starts as a bubbly Hufflepuff newcomer, proudly sharing his Muggle background and fascination with Hogwarts amid the petrification scares. He befriends Harry briefly before becoming one of the Chamber's frozen victims, lying rigid with a shocked expression that underscores the terror gripping the school. His petrification heightens suspicions around Harry, marking him as an early casualty in the basilisk's shadow.
