Kevin Whitby is the last first-year student sorted in the ceremony, and his placement in Hufflepuff brings the Sorting to its close. The book gives him no further personal history or development; he remains a small, human detail in the school’s changing crowd.
Description
Kevin is identified as an eleven-year-old first-year boy, but no specific details of his height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, or facial features are provided. He wears the ordinary Hogwarts school robes associated with the Sorting ceremony; no distinctive accessories or features are noted. His appearance should remain an understated, largely unspecified portrait of a young student.
