Madame Maxime arrives at Hogwarts as the formidable headmistress of Beauxbatons, carrying her school’s elegance and pride with her. She forms a close bond with Hagrid, and their shared giant heritage becomes a guarded point of understanding between them. Though she accompanies him on a dangerous journey in search of the giants, she ultimately returns to her school and her responsibilities. Her poise and reserve never quite conceal the loyalty beneath them.

Description

Madame Maxime is enormous and strikingly tall, with an elegant, handsome face and warm olive skin. Her large black eyes have a liquid sheen, and a prominent beaky nose gives her features a distinctive profile; her dark hair is drawn back into a shining knob at the nape of her neck. She favors head-to-toe black satin, set off by magnificent opals at her throat and on her thick fingers. Even her high-heeled black shoes are immense, and her composed bearing makes her difficult to overlook.
