The Girls' Bathroom on the first floor of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry remains a relatively minor location throughout the Harry Potter series, gaining prominence only in the second book as the haunted haunt of Moaning Myrtle, a tragic ghost who died there decades earlier. While absent from the narrative in the first installment, it becomes the site of a critical confrontation in Chamber of Secrets, where Harry battles a basilisk and Ginny Weasley is rescued from near-death. Thereafter, it fades into the background, occasionally referenced but never again central to major plot developments across the remaining books.
