Durrum is a massive earth-affinity brightheart whose power lets him move through treacherous mud as if the ground itself were his ally. His imposing size is matched by a voice like grinding gravel, but emotion can show plainly in his eyes. Later, after claiming too many territories, he becomes a restless bundle of energy, his fury and agitation overwhelming his usual steadiness. His companions must contend with the consequences of that strain as they try to keep him under control.

Durrum is a massive brightheart, towering roughly twice the height of a rabbit and standing head and shoulders above others of his kind. His earth affinity gives him a powerful, grounded impression, though specific skin, hair, and eye colors are not established. His voice has the harsh, low texture of gravel grinding together, and his presence can shift from imposing stillness to restless, forceful energy. His eyes are notably expressive, capable of appearing wet with emotion or bright with fury.
