Hope first appears as a subtle, behind-the-scenes operative in Emir’s service, valued for her uncanny ability to locate magically hidden objects across vast distances. By the eleventh book, her role expands dramatically when she answers Sorin’s prayers and transforms him into a Poison Cultivator, earning the ominous title of the Eighth Evil. This shift from a discreet scout to a divine-level intervener marks a profound evolution in both her influence and the scope of her powers.
