Jory Tillman begins as a pragmatic Greenstone alchemist and clinic owner whose affordable potions and ointments quietly challenge the Healer church’s monopoly on care. Over the course of the series he survives ecclesiastical censure, earns the Healer’s own blessing, and ultimately leaves Greenstone to lecture on potion refinement across Estercost and Cyrion. By book 11 he is a respected first-year alchemy instructor at KazMed, still driven by the same desire to make medicine accessible, even as his personal life shifts when his long relationship with Belinda ends.
