Ken Asano is introduced in the first book as Jason Asano’s father, a Japanese-born landscape architect who has fully embraced an Australian lifestyle. By Book 11, his familial role expands when he is identified as Emi’s great-uncle and the son of the matriarch, revealing a deeper generational connection within the Asano family. Though his personal arc remains largely off-page, these revelations reposition him from a simple paternal figure to a vital link in the family’s lineage.
