Bellurdan is a Thelomen giant who fights alongside the Malazan mages and is known as the skull-crusher. After the battle leaves him horribly burned, he gathers the scattered remains of Nightchill, revealing a tenderness beneath his fearsome stature. He forms a deep bond with Tattersail, and when she unleashes High Thyr magic, Bellurdan is consumed while embracing her. His story ends in a tragic fusion of devotion and destruction.
Description
Bellurdan is a massive Thelomen giant, towering over ordinary humans even when kneeling, with enormous hands and a heavily built frame. His flesh is scorched red and covered in burn blisters, and most of his hair has been burned away. He wears ragged strips of fur and fragments of a rough-woven tunic, much of his clothing charred or torn. His broad gestures and unexpectedly childlike shrug soften the terrible force of his presence.
