Derudan first appears as a large, sociable witch in a bright green, gold-trimmed robe, her water-pipe and broad smile lending her an air of genial comfort. At the fête she wears a ghastly mask, but her warm, unmasked manner makes her seem more approachable than her reputation might suggest. She uses Tennes Warren and the Tusk of Love, bringing her knowledge and power into the mounting conflict. Later, seated in an ash circle and smoking steadily, she is struck from behind with a paralt knife.
Description
Derudan is a large, rounded, buxom woman with a pale face and heavy-lidded eyes. Her most characteristic clothing is a bright green robe edged in gold, and she is often accompanied by a water-pipe, sometimes resting on a padded tray. At a fête she wears a ghastly mask; unmasked, she has a broad smile. She carries herself with relaxed confidence, her steady gaze and measured smoking lending her an air of quiet assurance.
