Estraysian D’Arle appears among the city’s councilors, a father whose daughter Challice has caught Crokus’s attention. At a formal gathering he wears a wolf mask and stands beside his veiled wife and daughter, lending the occasion an air of pageantry and rank. He serves as second to Turban Orr in the duel, a measured presence in a public ritual of honor.
Description
D’Arle is described as a heavy-eyed man with a severe appearance; the text does not specify his hair, complexion, age, or build. At a formal event he wears a wolf mask, its animal shape lending an unsettling edge to his otherwise dignified presence. His clothing is formal, befitting a councilman, though its exact style and colors are not given.
