The apparition appears at Hood’s Gate as a bent, limping figure in rags, its death’s head marked by muddy yellow teeth. It shifts among forms—a drooling child, a deformed young girl, a stunted, broken Trell, and a desiccated Tiste Andii—while speaking in a quavering voice. Its brief appearance is defined by this unstable, unnerving presence rather than by a conventional personal history or arc.
Description
A bent, limping figure draped in rags, the apparition’s most persistent image is a death’s head with muddy yellow, stained teeth. Yet its body refuses a single shape: it may resemble a drooling child, a deformed young girl, a stunted and broken Trell, or a desiccated Tiste Andii. Its frail, wavering posture and quavering voice sharpen the sense of decay and unease. The shifting forms are central to its appearance, so no single age or body type captures it.
