Rood is the leader of the pack of Hounds, a massive, scarred beast whose depthless yellow eyes set him apart from the others. When the Hounds confront Tiste Andii, he alone holds his gaze steady rather than joining their growls, then yelps as they withdraw. Later, he attacks Paran with brutal force, but steps back in confusion, leaving his ferocity shadowed by an inexplicable hesitation.
Description
Rood is a massive Hound with a mangy brown coat, rough and uneven across a powerful frame. Scars mark his hide, giving him a weathered, hard-lived appearance. His yellow eyes are depthless and unnervingly steady, lending his broad, feral presence a strangely watchful quality.
