Tremorlor Maze first appears in Deadhouse Gates as the living, root-choked terminus of the Path of Hands, a shifting labyrinth of stone and vegetation that guards the Azath House Tremorlor on the subcontinent of Seven Cities. Across the series the maze evolves from a passive, deadly threshold into an active participant in the Azath’s larger purpose: imprisoning rogue gods, ascendants, and ancient evils. Its mutable corridors become both a trap and a sanctuary, ultimately serving as the final battleground where the Azath reasserts control over entities that threaten the balance of the warrens.
