Captain Blantach first appears in The Lost Metal as a disciplined Bilming constable whose clipped authority and tidy uniform mark her as a practical organizer amid escalating chaos. Across the novel’s dual numbering (books 4 and 7), she evolves from a background functionary into a visible field commander who must balance local jurisdiction against the larger threat of the Set. Though never granted deep personal history, her repeated clashes with Mayor Gave Entrone and her wary cooperation with Marasi Colms reveal a woman learning to navigate political pressure while still insisting on proper procedure.
Description
A tall woman with short blonde hair, wearing a stiff and buttoned tight Bilming uniform jacket. She maintains a professional appearance even when frazzled or flushed from exertion, combing her short blonde hair neatly. Blantach is tall, with short blonde hair and a clean Bilming uniform buttoned stiffly and close. Her appearance is orderly and professional, her bearing direct and commanding; frustration sometimes shows in a hand to her forehead or in a widened, startled gaze. No further details about her complexion, eye color, facial shape, or distinctive accessories are established.
